    "Hi Dan, May I on behalf of Wright Auto Sales aplogise to you for the lack of customer service. I did in fact speak to Jane and she had explained that you simply asked what time we were open until etc but did not in actual fact speak to anyone in the sales dept. The receptionist's normally will pass a query call to sales so they can ensure they provide the best customer service. I believe you drove down and when you found out it was in fact sold you were irate and that is understandable. I can only apologise to you and advise you that is not the way we would ever treat any of our customers and at this point I am not sure if I can be of any assistance. If I may call you to apologise personally. Please advise if you wish me to contact you directly"

    I called ahead and asked specifically about a vehicle I found advertised both on their website and on Autotrader.ca and was told to come in anytime. I asked if I needed an appointment and was told no. I arrived after travelling form Toronto experiencing the usual insanity that is the 401 plus a 30 minute additional delay only to see the vehicle with a big red "SOLD" sign posted on it. I went in and asked when it sold and was told "a few days ago". I was asked if I had called and who I had spoken to and I replied simply that I didn't know who but that it was a woman who had answered. First they responded that I must have called the wrong location as there weren't any women working there. At that point an older woman appeared and said that she had taken the call. I told them that I had driven all the way from Toronto. There wasn't so much as an attempt at an apology. This is customer service and business practice at its worst. They only got one star because I couldn't post

    All said I'm left feeling that my treatment was just a version of 'bait and switch' as in 'just get them in and we'll sell them something'.

    If you're still reading this then you will note that the onus or fault for the issue is clearly laid out as being my responsibility not their own. An 'apology' that blames the complainant is not actually an apology.

    I will clarify yet again; I asked specifically about the vehicle in question. The response from 'Jane' was to ask if I was already dealing with anyone at the dealership. I replied no and was subsequently told that I should just come by. I asked if I need an appointment and was told no and that I could come by "anytime". I didn't ask about "hours". I asked specifically about a particular vehicle. I was never offered the opportunity to speak to a salesperson.
