  Both of the guys who helped me at this location were above and beyond delightful to deal with. They were knowledgeable about their products, made sure I understood and was comfortable with the car, and had me in and out in a pinch. The car I rented was of course immaculate and drove like a dream. When I have to rent again I will be returning to this location.

  Very bad experience with this location, I have had rental request from my insurance for just under 1 week now, but this is not the issue, I understand things happen, it's a busy time of year, and they may not have a car available, my issue is with that absolutely terrible service I have received everytime I called, the staff does not know what's going on, doesn't care and they have been just plain rude for the past 5 days with no update on what is haopening.

  The manager at this location "Mr. Suspenders" is very non accommodating and extremely rude. He couldn't give a care in the world for the customers of discount car rental. We booked a van for pick up at 12pm until 12pm the next day. When we arrived for pick up the manager insisted that we had to have the van back by 9am the next day and not 12pm. We told him we booked and confirmed the reservation with him personally 12pm - 12pm and made it very clear to him that we could not have the van back until 12pm the next day. In the end we stormed out of there extremely mad as all are moving plans for that day were destroyed in one foul swoop. We would never return there but we HIGHLY recommend the location in Guelph. The Guelph office does 12pm -12pm no problem. They greet you with a huge smile on arrival and they even give you a courtesy call halfway through the day to see if everything is going ok. You walk into the Cambridge location and you are met by the grinch that stole Christmas in suspenders. In Cambridge there is no warm welcome but only a look of disdain on the managers face for customers. We have rented from Cambridge a few times and we never received a courtesy call through any of our journey's. We now drive the 20mins to Guelph from Cambridge because of the management and treatment we have received. 5 Stars Guelph! Never again Cambridge!

  First off. Maybe Discount, you should read your reviews and act on them. Our insurance company reserved a cube van for us. No issues, until the time it was to be dropped off never happened. We phoned and inquired where our truck was and they informed us it was coming.

  Most of the staff here seemed helpful and friendly enough. The manager was an absolute nightmare to deal with though. There was some confusion with the insurance coverage on my rental, when I went in to clear it up the manager basically called me a liar when I was trying to explain the situation. The funny thing is what I was saying really didn't even have to do with the exact reason I was there. Instead of just hearing me out, he preferred to call me a liar and claim what I was saying never happened (it did and he wasn't even there so how would be know? ). I wasn't even returning the vehicle but he demanded I pay the balance on my account, or he wouldn't give me the keys back. When I asked for an invoice of the charges, he told me they don't give out invoices until the car is returned and that if I didn't pay immediately he would turn me over to a collection agency (I never once refused to pay, I just needed an invoice for my insurance to reimburse me). I ended up just returning the vehicle I was so appalled. After I paid he told me to get out of the store. I gave him a few choice words about his customer service, and he told me I'm no longer a customer and if I don't leave he was going to call the police on me for trespassing. He also rescinded his offer to give me a ride home, so I had to walk home in the freezing cold. I'd suggest staying far away from these guys.

  Better late then never should be there new motto. When it arrived it was an absolutely dirty stinky truck. I mean filthy and it stunk. Absolutely unacceptable. It wasn't fit for a pig. We asked if they always deliver vehicles like this and the smart ass kid reassured us that indeed that is how they deliver vehicles. I was appalled at his answer. Will be getting a hold of the head office. We will never, I mean never rent from here or let our insurance rent from here. The reviews say it all.
